Re: Carlton Cole
We'd be better off playing a false-nine for the remaining games unless we get Sakho back of course. We could play Valencia in an attacking wide position and leave Cole on the bench if we want to change shape. Nene and Amalfitano would be quite effective playing in that system.

Re: Carlton Cole
CFC only just managed to achieve double figures in the Championship 3 years ago (and he's got a hell of a lot sh1tter and slower since then). Only once in his WHOLE CAREER has he scored twice in a league game. He is truly abysmal and should be nowhere near the PL any more.

There is no point slating the player though. He is clearly not the brightest and happy to run around aimlessly and fall over whenever the ball comes near him for £1m+/year. Got to blame the fat flatulent cnut who keeps picking him.

West Ham striker Carlton Cole admitted he isn’t sure if he will be offered a new contract at Upton Park this summer.

Cole, who was released in 2013 when his Hammers contract expired, only to re-sign six months later, only has two months to run on his current deal and is expected to leave West Ham for good.

The former Chelsea man was denied a move to West Brom in January at the last minute when Emmanuel Adebayor’s move to Upton Park fell through, and the striker had a heated chat with Sam Allardyce over the deal.

Despite loving the club, Cole admits he may be on his way this summer.

“I love the place, I love the fans, I love everything about West Ham,” Cole said at Football Fighting Ebola.

“But I know all good things do come to an end sometimes and you have got to just crack on. I’m trying my best to put myself in the best position to have a new contract, if not at West Ham then somewhere else.”

“I’m quite open, I am an adventurous guy,” he added.

“I wouldn’t mind a bit of China or even the MLS, you never know. I’m really open and I just want to see what offers are on the table and take it from there.”

Cole is currently third choice behind Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia at Upton Park with Andy Carroll on the sidelines and new-boy Nene failing to make much of an impression on Allardyce.

Re: Carlton Cole
Likeable, done well for us n th past, and doesn't deserve abuse, but I don't thik anyone in their right mind would suggest he should b in our squad.

Amalfitano aside, our bench was shocking aon saturday and has been for somet time - that is a massive reason our season as spriralled.

Carlton Cole is here as our 3rd choice striker and thats exactly what he is. No one should expect anything more special than that.

Sakho's injury was unfortunate, Carroll's predictable.

all it tells me is that Sako was injured and Carlton was the only forward on the bench .

Re: Carlton Cole
I like CFC. But I never thought he could get worse but recently has proved me wrong. Fucking woeful. Why he keeps getting picked is beyond me. He should've been shipped out and new blood brought in with a bit more know how. The fact that Sam took off Sakho and brought on Cole Saturday tells you everything you need to know about Sam.

Re: Carlton Cole
I doubt he'll score another goal this season. He doesn't seem to be able to even get into the right positions these days.

Apart from that header on Saturday. To nick Brian Clough's immortal phrase - Missing the target from there, he needs bloody shooting.

Describing something as bizarre doesn't make me sensitive. There's a big difference between viewing something as upsetting and viewing it as odd. You have a nice evening now.

Years Team Apps† (Gls)†
2001–2006 Chelsea 25 (4)
2002–2003 → Wolverhampton Wanderers (loan) 7 (1)
2003–2004 → Charlton Athletic (loan) 21 (4)
2004–2005 → Aston Villa (loan) 27 (3)
2006–2013 West Ham United 210 (48)
2013– West Ham United 43 (8)

Just under 1 goal in 5 games. Considering most games these days he comes on for 15-20 minutes at the end of the game that's not too shabby for someone so far down the pecking order. The actual problem is that those ahead of him are injured.
